Longmont Public Safety (LPS) announced on Tuesday afternoon at around 3 p.m. that members of the Longmont Police Department's Special Investigation Unit and the Longmont and Boulder County SWAT teams executed four search warrants at four different residences in Longmont between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. that same day. LPS said that the warrants are part of an ongoing investigation into a shooting.
The properties involved, LPS said, are in the "general area" of Main and 2nd Avenue, Mountain View and Hover, Mountain View and Sunset Street, and South Bowen and Iowa.
LPS said that no further information is available at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
