A free “lunch and learn” event focused on the art of creating a podcast will be held at 12 p.m. at Longmont Public Media (LPM) on February 21. The hour-long event is geared toward podcasting beginners and aficionados alike and will cover the essentials of podcasting, including recording, editing, using podcasting tools, and sharing a final product.
Participants should register ahead of time on LPM’s website and are encouraged to bring and eat their lunch while attending the session.
LPM hosts a “lunch and learn” event on the third Friday of each month at 12 p.m. in their facility on 4th Avenue. The subjects taught change each month, but the sessions are always interactive and beneficial for people of all experience levels.
LPM is a nonprofit dedicated to the creation of all styles of media for various platforms. The nonprofit will help community members create or learn how to create video or audio content and distribute media through TV, streaming, podcasting, Facebook live, and more. The primary goal of LPM is to “create media that captures the heart and soul of Longmont.”
In addition to free “lunch and learn” educational sessions, LPM offers other in-depth classes for podcasting, editing, video production, and more for a wide range of experience levels.
