The Longmont Library is maintaining its system on Tuesday which will result in some of its services being limited or unavailable.

The library’s self-checkout system will be out of order throughout the day. Patrons will be directed to the library’s service desk on the first floor to check out their materials. Patrons will still be able to sign up for a library card, however, the process may be slower than normal and the cards will not be activated until the system maintenance is complete.

The Libby app will be unavailable throughout the day. The Libby app allows patrons to read ebooks, emagaizines, enewspapers and more. Those who have downloaded their e-reading materials will still have access to them on Tuesday.

Patrons will not be able to make payments on library accounts, however, payments for Friends of the Library Book Store sales will be accepted.

The library will offer limited use of its computers.

“Library staff will try to accommodate computer use needs as best they can,” a Facebook statement from the Longmont Library reads.

The printers will not be available while the system maintenance occurs.

While there will be some disruptions to the systems on Tuesday, all planned library programs are expected to run as scheduled.

“We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to enhance and optimize the system for an improved Library experience,” the post stated.

The library's operation hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m to 5 p.m. on Sunday. It will be closed on Monday in observance of President's Day.
