Longmont Police Report: May 4th, 2020

Due to the COVID-19, and the volunteer nature of our staff, the police report has been missing from the Observer for a couple of weeks. We'll try to get it done daily but it may or may not be here from time to time.

5/1/2020 200003349 PROTECTION ORDER 1812 On Friday, May 1, 2020, Longmont Police Officer's were dispatched to a welfare check at 600 block of Peck. A fifty-six year old male was contacted and later arrest for a protection order violation. 

5/1/2020 WELFARE CHECK 1806 On Friday, May 1st, 2020, at around 20:44 hours, Longmont Police investigated a disturbance in the 1300 block of Martin St. A Juvenile male was placed on an emergency mental health hold. 

5/2/2020 200003356 FDC/CRIM TRESPASS 1806 On Saturday, May 2nd, 2020, at around 0321 hours, Longmont Police responded to a first degree criminal trespass in the 100 block of E 4th Ave. A Juvenile male was arrested and the investigation cleared by arrest. 

5/2/2020 200003357 FDC/CRIM TRESPASS 0713 On May 2nd, 2020, an officer received a report of a First Degree Criminal Trespass to his vehicle in the 2300 block of Emery Pl. resulting in a theft of tools. The incident occurred sometime between April 30th, 2020 and May 1st, 2020. 

5/2/2020 200003359 VICIOUS DOG 05C15 A group of Longmont residents were bitten by their dogs trying to break up a dog fight. The dogs were quarantined at home 

5/2/2020 200003360 THEFT 0709 On April 28, 2020 at approximately 2000 hours, an adult male and adult female shoplifted from the 1600 block of Pace Street. In the process they also damaged property. 

5/2/2020 200003361 ASSAULT 0711 On Saturday, 05-02-2020, Longmont Police investigated a possible assault that occurred in the 2900 blk of Lake Park Way. The victim was uncooperative and would not provide any information reference the possible assault, therefore there is no suspect information. 

5/2/2020 200003362 AUTO THEFT 0709 On Saturday, May 2, 2020 at approximately 1421 hours, an adult male reported an attempted auto theft in the 1200 block of Armstrong Drive. An unknown suspect broke into his vehicle and attempted to steal it. The suspect was unsuccessful. 

5/2/2020 200003366 PROTECTION ORDER 1808 On Saturday May 2, 2020 Longmont officers received a call regarding a protection order violation. An adult male was identified as the suspect and a warrant is being written for his arrest. 

5/2/2020 200003367 HARASSMENT 0709 On Saturday, May 2, 2020 at approximately 1507 hours, an adult male reported receiving threatening text messages from an unknown party. This report is for information only. 

5/2/2020 200003368 VICIOUS DOG 05C15 A Longmont woman was bitten by a loose dog. The dog was quarantined at home. 

5/2/2020 200003369 AUTO THEFT 1809 On May 2, 2020 around 1530 hrs, Longmont Police responded to the 600 block of Longs Peak Ave. on report of a stolen vehicle. A report was taken. 

5/2/2020 200003370 HARASSMENT 9803 On 05/02/20 Longmont Police received a report of a cold disturbance that occurred in the 1100 block of Francis Street, in Longmont. No crime occurred. 

5/2/2020 200003372 AUTO THEFT 1712 On 05/02/2020 around 1800 hours a report was filed for a stolen vehicle from the 4400 block of Redmond Drive. 

4/30/2020 200029548 200003314 BURGLARY 1309 On April 30, 2020 Longmont Police were dispatched to a business in the 2500 block of Main Street on report of a shoplift in progress. An adult female was contacted and positively identified through surveillance footage. The adult female had been previously trespassed for theft, and was subsequently arrested on related felony charges. This case is cleared by arrest. 

5/1/2020 SEX ASSAULT 0713 On May 1st, 2020, an officer received a report of a possible sexual assault that occurred in the 700 block of Allen Dr. in December of 2019. The case is open. 

5/1/2020 200029775 200003340 PROTECTION ORDER 1812 

5/1/2020 200029902 200003354 PROTECTION ORDER 1713 On May 1, 2020 at about 2105 hours, Officers with the Longmont Police Department responded to 1300 blk of Coffman Street, Longmont, CO for a possible assault. The suspect was later contacted and arrested on unrelated charges. 

5/1/2020 200029910 200003355 HARASSMENT 1405 On Friday, May 1 2020, Longmont Police responded to a harassment which occured on Saturday, April 25 2020 in the 1600 block of Main Street. A 30 year old male was cited for harassment. The case is cleared by arrest. 

5/2/2020 30102 200003373 IDENTITY THEFT 9803 On 05/02/20 Longmont Police received a report of a Fraud/Identity Theft complaint that occurred outside the State of Colorado. Information was collected. No suspects identified.
