The city of Longmont announced Monday that it has begun publishing Longmont Indicators, a new website dedicated to displaying the city’s goals and plans for sustainability, transportation, housing, economic development, livable neighborhoods and more.
“Making this information easy for everyone to find is important,” said city of Longmont Sustainability Manager Lisa Knoblauch. “In addition to sharing City successes, the visibility demonstrates that City is committed to achieving our goals and being transparent about our progress.”
Currently, the site highlights five city initiatives and plans to add more in the future, according to a news release from the city of Longmont. The initiatives highlighted include the Envision Longmont Multimodal and Comprehensive Plan, Sustainability Plan, Climate Action Recommendations Report, Equitable Carbon-Free Transportation Roadmap and Beneficial Building Electrification Plan.
The Sustainability and Climate Action annual report is expected to be posted to the Longmont Indicators website by the end of March. Progress on actions on the site will be updated twice a year, with data updates on indicators once a year and greenhouse gas modeling every three years, according to the news release. The site will also be available in Spanish.
