Longmont Public Media announced it would host debates for Longmont City Council candidates on Oct. 7. Since its announcement, the line up of the events has changed but not the date.

LPM decided to change the date of two of its debates between Ward I and Ward III candidates from Oct. 6 to Oct. 7 due to the rescheduling of the Longmont Chamber of Commerce’s Unity in the Community event.

The two debates were moved to the following day along with the remaining debates.

On Tuesday, LPM announced that some conflicts were identified among some of the candidates. The current schedule is as follows:

  • LPM Doors Open to public 12:00 noon
  • At-Large Debate 1:00 p.m.
  • Ward 3 Debate 3:00 p.m.
  • Ward 1 Debate 5:00 p.m.
  • Mayoral Debate 7:00 p.m.
  • LPM Doors close to public 9:00 p.m.

All debates are open to the public and will be live-streamed on Comcast channels8/880 and 16, LPM’s website and YouTube channel.

The public is encouraged to submit questions by emailing [email protected].
