Longmont’s annual summer street festival Unity in the Community will occur on Friday night from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 4th and Kimbark. The block party is free and will feature more than 100 local businesses and nonprofit organizations, live music and performances, crafts and games, and more.

Unity in the Community is the Longmont Chamber’s longest-running event, having been around for more than three decades. In 2019, the event was moved from the convention center to the streets of Longmont.

The event will feature a 20-foot climbing wall, axe throwing, a dunk tank, and will even allow for citizens to participate in public policy engagement.

Founded as an extension of Unity in the Community in 2019, Unity Funds the Community (UFTC) is a nonprofit grant program co-led by the Longmont Chamber and the Longmont Community Foundation that will donate grant money to three nonprofits in conjunction with this year’s event. This year, El Comité de Longmont, Longmont Public Media, and Voices for Children will receive a base grant of $1,500, plus a portion of all money raised at Unity in the Community through drink token sales and direct contributions donated to the fund.
