First responders were called to Eldora Mountain Resort on Thursday for a medical emergency.
A 52-year-old man was assisting with trail maintenance when a tree fell on him. He suffered life-threatening injuries.
Ski patrol administered medical care but the man was pronounced dead on the scene.
