McCoy keeps lead in council race

Sean McCoy maintains his lead for the at-large seat on the Longmont City Council.

As of late Thursday, Sean McCoy was leading with 12,162 votes (36.05%) with Mitzi Nicoletti at 11,283 votes (33.44%), according to the Boulder County Clerk and Recorder. Gary Hodges had claimed 10,295 votes (30.15%)..  

McCoy said Thursday he was still not ready to declare himself the clear winner in the race.

The candidates are vying to fill the at-large seat on the council vacated last year by Joan Peck, who won her bid to become mayor.
