The NCAR Fire in south Boulder is 35% contained as 150 firefighters from about 30 agencies helped keep the blaze at bay, according to the Boulder Office of Emergency Management. As of 5 p.m. Sunday, all evacuation orders had been lifted.
The OEM issued its latest update at 4 p.m. Sunday.
The fire has burned about 189 acres and has not grown since Sunday morning, the OEM states. Evacuations from 11 p.m. Saturday is still in effect today. The evacuation center at the East Boulder Recreation Center was were most evacuees stayed, the OEM states.
“Firefighters made good progress today,” the OEM said.
