LONGMONT, CO – May 6, 2025 – Paragon Service Dogs proudly announces its second graduation ceremony since relocating to its dedicated training and development facility in Longmont, Colorado. The event will honor the accomplishments of three exceptional service dog teams: Shandy & Perry, Danny & Lori, and Doc & Carrie.
Scheduled for Thursday, May 15th, the ceremony will celebrate the culmination of months of hard work, perseverance, and life-changing partnerships.
This private event marks not just the success of the graduating teams, but also the unwavering dedication of the volunteers, trainers, and supporters who made their journeys possible.
Among this year’s graduates is Perry, who lives with profound hearing loss and balance challenges. His match, Shandy—a calm, alert yellow Labrador retriever—was carefully trained to assist with sound alerts and navigate social environments. The bond between Perry and Shandy became undeniable. “I am eternally grateful,” Perry wrote. “I will never be able to convey in words my deepest, sincerest appreciation, but I can show it by loving Shandy forever.”
Founded on the belief that service dogs transform lives, Paragon Service Dogs trains and places highly skilled service dogs with individuals living with physical disabilities, medical challenges, and other special needs. These partnerships foster greater independence, confidence, and quality of life.
Paragon Service Dogs is actively seeking new volunteers, supporters, and corporate sponsors to help expand its reach and bring hope to more families in need. Interested parties are encouraged to visit paragonservicedogs.org to learn how they can support the mission.
