On July 16 just before 2 p.m., Longmont Public Safety announced a police operation in the 1000 block of Kimbark. The department advised citizens to avoid the area.

It was announced shortly after by the City of Longmont’s communications director, Lindsay Diamond, that the Longmont Police Department was assisting the Greeley Police Department in “executing arrest warrants.” Diamond said that the operation was not related to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activities.

Longmont Public Safety updated its Facebook post announcing the operation at 3:00 p.m. on July 16 to say that the operation had been completed.
