Police Report: August 14, 2017

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF A Longmont resident in the 2700 block of Copper Peak Lane reported an incident of vandalism to her vehicle. The case status is open and has been forwarded for follow up.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

A Longmont resident in the 2700 block of Copper Peak Lane reported an incident of vandalism to her vehicle. The case status is open and has been forwarded for follow up.

THEFT

On August 14, 2017 a theft report of a stolen handgun was taken from the 2900 block of Spinnaker Pl. An adult male was contacted who stated his handgun was stolen from either his vehicle or his house. There are no workable leads or suspect information. Case closed.

MISSING PERSON

On Monday, 08/14/17, The Longmont Police Department contacted an adult male reference his juvenile daughter running away. A report was taken, 937 was completed and Denver Police Department was notified as the listed license plate comes back to their jurisdiction. Case Status is Closed.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

On Monday, 08/14/17, a report was taken reference a criminal mischief which occurred in the 800 Blk. of Grandview Meadows Dr. The case is closed as suspects are unknown.

OTHER AGENCY ASSIST

On 8/14/2017 the LPD took an assault case that occurred in Weld County. This case will be referred to the Weld County Sheriff's Office.

FRAUD

On August 14, 2017 a forgery report was taken from the 600 block of Kimbark. This case is under investigation.

FRAUD

On Monday, 08/14/17, a report was taken reference a forgery and theft which did not occur in Longmont. The case is closed.

CHILD

On Monday, August 14, 2017 at about 1400 hours, Officers with the Longmont Police Department Sipes were dispatched to the 200 Block of Ken Pratt Blvd., Longmont, Colorado for the report of a child in a vehicle. The care taker of the child was later arrested and booked in at the Boulder County Jail. Case closed by arrest.

THEFT

On August 14, 2017 at approximately 2:00 pm a theft report was taken from the 125 block of Ken Pratt Blvd. There are no workable leads or suspect information. Case closed.

FRAUD

On August 14, 2017, the Longmont Police Department investigated a case of elder abuse and fraud in the 1400 block of Whitehall Drive. This case is open.

SEX ASSAULT

On Saturday, August 12 2017, Longmont Police responded to the Safety and Justice Center in reference to a report of unlawful sexual contact which occurred in the 2100 block of Tulip St in 2016. An 18 year old female stated she was innapropriately touched by a coworker. This case is closed.

 CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

On Sunday 08/13/17, Longmont Police responded to the 2600 block of Denver Ave reference a possible criminal mischief. A vehicle was reported to have chicken meat smothered across it. There are no suspects and the case is closed.

THEFT

On 080917, officers took a theft report from a business in the 1600 block of Pace St. Case is closed as there are no probable cause at this time.

FDC/CRIM TRESPASS

On 08/13/2017 at about 1701 hours an Officer was dispatched to the 1900 block of Longs Peak Ave on a report of a vehicle which had a window smashed and a purse taken from inside. There are no suspects at this time. Case closed.

 PROTECTION ORDER

On August 13, 2017, the Longmont Police Department responded to a protection order violation in the 1300 block of Emery Street. This case is open.

DUI

On Monday, 08/14/17 at approximately 0028 hours, Longmont Police were dispatched to a possible DUI driver at E 9th Ave and Summer Hawk Dr. A juvenile male was contacted and arrested for DUI and possession of a controlled substance.

DISTURBANCE

Officers responded to the 2200 block of Dexter Dr on a report of a disturbance. The two parties separated but some criminal accusations were made and are being investigated. Case open.

 FDC/CRIM TRESPASS

On 8-13-17 at 0141 hrs., officers responded to a suspicious situation in the 2100 block of Emerald Drive. An anonymous resident of the area reported a teen male and female walked through their yard and discarded items. A vehicle was found by officers a block away that had been trespassed for the items found in the yard. There are no leads and the matter is closed.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

On August 14, 2017, the Longmont Police Department responded to the 1200 block of Bowen Circle on a criminal mischief. This case is closed.

MISSING PERSON

On Monday, August 14, 2017 a friend of Longmont resident called the Longmont Police to report his 44 year old male friend missing. The male was entered as a missing person. This case is closed.

WELFARE CHECK

On 08/14/2017 at approximately 1021 hours officers along with EDGE responded to a welfare check at the Suites, located in the 2000 blk of Sunset Way, City of Longmont, Boulder County, Colorado, USA. Edge engaged with the male party and conferred with officers before the male was placed on a mental health hold. Case Closed.

DISTURBANCE

On Monday 08/14/17, Longmont Police responded to the 3500 block of Larkspur Dr reference a disturbance. The case was documented for informational purposes and is closed.

WARRANT ARREST

The Longmont Police Department arrested a subject who surrendered himself on an outstanding warrant at 225 Kimbark St. Cleared by arrest.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT

Officers received a report of stalking occuring in the area of 17th Avenue and Main Street in the City of Longmont. The case is open.

 OTHER AGENCY ASSIST

On Monday August 14, 2017 at approximately 1302 hours an officer assisted an outside agency with an investigation in the 2600 block of Mountain View Ave. A report was taken for informational purposes.

INFORMATION

On August 14, 2017 Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Mountain View Avenue for a report of a sex assault. A report was taken for information only.
