Police Report: August 27, 2017

FRAUD On 08/25/2017 Longmont Police took a report of a possible fraud in the 1600 block of Hover St. A report was taken and the case is open and has been referred up to detectives for follow up.

FRAUD

On 08/25/2017 Longmont Police took a report of a possible fraud in the 1600 block of Hover St. A report was taken and the case is open and has been referred up to detectives for follow up.

DRUG VIOLATION

On 08/25/2017 Longmont Police were dispatched to a narcotics complaint in the 200 block of Golden Rod Ct. A report was taken and the case is open and under investigation.

VICIOUS DOG

A Longmont male was bitten while trying to break up a dog fight between his family dog and a loose dog. The loose dog's owner was found and the dog was quarantined at home.

ANIMAL COMPLAINT 

A Longmont woman was written a summons for leaving her dog in a hot vehicle.

MEDICAL LONGMONT PD LAW

On Saturday, August 26, 2017 Longmont Police responded on a medical call. An adult female was transported to Longmont United Hospital and placed on a mental health hold. Case closed.

DUI

On Saturday 082617 at approximately 2231 hours, the Longmont Police Department conducted a traffic stop near Ken Pratt Blvd and Sherman Dr. One adult male was arrested for DUI without incident. Case cleared by arrest.

ARSON

On August 26, 2017, the Longmont Police Department responded to the 900 block of Quartz Court on an assist to the fire department. One adult male was issued a summons for arson after recklessly burning a fire pit in his backyard.

BURGLARY

On Saturday 08/26/2017 at approximately 2300 hours police responded to the intersection of Bowen Street and 21st Avenue, which was later determined to be 2137 Bowen Street. Two adult males were arrested for 2nd Degree Trespass and Criminal Attempt 2nd Degree Burglary. The case is cleared by arrest.

LIQUOR LAW VIOLATION

On 8-26-17, an anonymous citizen reported teens in a vehicle in the parking lot at 995 S Hover Rd whom they suspected had been drinking. Three Longmont teens were contacted who were in possession of alcohol. The three were polite and cooperative. They were turned over to their parents with warnings. Exceptionally cleared.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT

On Sunday, August 27, 2017 at approximately 0100 hours, Longmont Police Officers responded to a domestic incident in the 1300 block of Trail Ridge Rd. No arrests were made. Case is closed.

DUI

On Sunday 082717 at approximately 0223 hours, the Longmont Police Department conducted a traffic stop near 9th Ave and Collyer St. One adult male was arrested for DUI without incident. Case cleared by arrest.

ASSAULT

On Sunday, August 27, 2017 at approximately 0230 hours, Longmont Police Officers were dispatched to Longmont United Hospital on a reported assault. Statements were collected however, there are currently no suspects. Pending additional information the case is closed.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

On Sunday August 27, 2017 at approximately 0950 hours an officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of Falcon Dr reference a criminal mischief to a motor vehicle.

THEFT

On August 27th, 2017, Officers were dispatched to the area of Clover Basin and Dry Creek Drive on report of a stolen bike. No suspect information was available. A report was taken and closed with no further leads.

DISTURBANCE

On Sunday, 08/27/17 at about 1000 hours, Officers with the Longmont Police Department were conducting patrol at 500 Block of Main St., Longmont, Colorado. The officers observed a physical altercation between to adult males. One male was taken into custody and transported to the Boulder County Jail for assault.

ASSAULT

On August 27, 2017 Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Stroh Place in reference to an assault. The case is open for investigation.

WARRANT ARREST

On Sunday, 08/27/17 at about 1300 hours, Officers with the Longmont Police Department dispatched to the 1600 block of Hover Street, Longmont, CO for the report of a theft. Three individuals were contacted. On individual had a warrant and was taken to the Boulder County Jail. The other two individuals were released with a written warning per the victim.
