Police Report: August 31, 2017

AUTO THEFT On Thursday, 08/31/17, The Longmont Police Department responded to an address in the northeast part of town, reference an attempted motor vehicle theft. Upon arrival, an on-scene investigation and interview were completed.

AUTO THEFT

On Thursday, 08/31/17, The Longmont Police Department responded to an address in the northeast part of town, reference an attempted motor vehicle theft. Upon arrival, an on-scene investigation and interview were completed. At this time there are no additional leads or information to follow up on. Case Status is Closed.

THEFT

On August 31, 2017 at approximately 11:30 a.m. a theft report was received from the 1200 block of S Hover. There are no workable leads or suspect information. Case closed.

WARRANT ARREST

On August 31st 2017, an adult female turned herself in at the Longmont Police Department on an warrant. Case Cleared by arrest.

PROTECTION ORDER

On 08/30/201 Longmont police responded to the 1700 block of Sunset St., reference a reported violation of a protection order. An adult male had gone to a residence from which he was restrained by court order. The suspect male was located by officers in the 1800 block of Trevor Cir. When officers went to arrest the male he became resistive, and was placed under control via the use of a taser. The male was taken into custody, medically cleared, and transported to the Boulder County Jail.

FRAUD

A Longmont business in the 1600 block of Hover St. reported an incidence of forgery and theft. The case status remains open pending additional follow-up.

INJURY ACCIDENT

On 08/30/17 at approximately 1801 hours police responded to a three car injury accident at the intersection of Ken Pratt Blvd and S Emery St. The initial collision occurred when a vehicle failed to yield right of way when turning left and was struck by a vehicle driving through the intersection. One passenger was transported to Longmont United Hospital. The driver of the vehicle that turned left was issued a summons. Case is cleared by arrest.

DISTURBANCE

On 08/30/2017, Officers responded to the 700 block of Longs Peak Ave on a report of a Disturbance. A male victim was found with a small laceration to the face. Due to lack of suspect information, the case will be closed.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT

On Thursday, August 31 2017, Longmont Police responded to the 2500 block of Sunset Dr in reference to a report of Domestic Violence. A 21 year old male reported being assaulted by his 22 year old female ex-girlfriend. The case is under investigation and remains open.

TRESPASS

On Wednesday 083017 at approximately 2306 hours, the Longmont Police Department investigated a trespassing in the 1600 block of Hover St. Case is closed.

HARASSMENT

On 08/31/2017, Longmont officers responded to the 2700 blk of Denver Ave. reference an on-going harassment. Case closed due to lack of suspect information.

SEX ASSAULT

On August 31st 2017, Officers were dispatched to Longmont United Hospital on report of a possible sexual assault. The incident happened in Weld County and Weld County Deputies were notified and took over the case. Case closed.

AUTO THEFT

A Longmont resident in the 1600 block of Iron Horse Drive reported the theft of his silver, 2016 Jeep Wrangler from his apartment complex's parking lot. The case status is closed due to lack of suspect information.

THEFT

A Longmont resident in the 1600 block of Emery St. reported a theft. The case status is closed due to lack of suspect information.

ANIMAL COMPLAINT

On 08-31-17 the Longmont Police investigated a cruelty to animals call. The suspect was issued a summons, and the 6 week old puppy was brought to a veterinarian for medical evaluation. The case is closed.

FRAUD

On Thursday, 08/31/17 at approximately 1238 hours, Longmont Police contacted a party in regards to a fraud report and domestic violence incident in the 2300 block of Main St. The case is open.

WARRANT ARREST

On Thursday, 08/31/17, The Longmont Police Department responded to County Probation, 1035 Kimbark Street, reference a male with a Detainer for his arrest. Upon arrival, the adult male was taken into custody and transported to LUH for a medical clearance before a direct transport to the Boulder County Jail. Case Status is Arrest, adult male.

GRAFFITI

On Thursday, August 31, 2017, Officers responded to the 600 block of Grandview Meadows on a report of graffiti. The case is closed.

PROTECTION ORDER

On Thursday, August 31, 2017, officers of the Longmont Police Department were dispatched to 615 Kimbark St for a Restraining Order Violation. An adult female was arrested for Violation of a Protection Order. Case cleared by arrest.

FDC/CRIM TRESPASS

On Thursday, August 31, 2017, at 2018 hours, Longmont Police responded to the 1600 block of Great Western Dr in reference to a cold motor vehicle trespass. No suspects were located. This case will be closed due to a lack of workable leads.

BURGLARY

On Thursday, August 31, 2017, Officers responded to the 1200 block of 3rd Ave. on a report of a bike theft. The case is closed.

ASSAULT

On August 31, 2017, Longmont Police Officers responded to the 4500 block of Redmond Drive for an assault. The assault involved 2 juvenile males and the case is under investigation.

SHOPLIFT

On Thursday, August 31, 2017, at 2149 hours, Longmont Police investigated a shoplifting in the 500 block of South Hover Street, Longmont. One adult female was issued a summons and the case was cleared by arrest.
