Police Report: December 5, 2017

SHOPLIFT

An employee of a Longmont business located in the 1700 block of Main Street reported a theft of merchandise. The case status is open and has been forwarded for further follow up.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT

On 12/04/2017 Longmont police received a report of a disturbance involving a juvenile male and a juvenile female in the area of 15th Ave. and Lashley St. The juveniles were located, and their welfare checked. There were no applicable criminal charges in this matter,

FRAUD

On December 5, 2017, at approximately 0020 hours, I, Officer J. Davis was dispatched to the 2200 block of Main Street on the report of a counterfeit $50.00 bill being used at a local restaurant. No suspect information. Case Closed.

ARSON

On 120517, Officers responded to the 2700 block of Denver Ave on a report of an arson. The case is open.

DEATH

On Tuesday 12-05-2017, at 0630 hours, Officers investigated a death in the 00 block of Emery Way. Detectives will follow up on the investigation. Case closed.

TRESPASS

On Tuesday, 12-5-2017, Police were dispatched to a trespassing complaint in the 800 block of S Sherman Street, Longmont, CO 80501. Police investigated and issued an adult female a summons for trespassing. Case cleared by arrest/summons issued.

WARRANT ARREST

On Tuesday 12-05-2017 at 1130 hours, Officers arrested an adult male on a traffic warrant out of Weld County. He was released on a PR bond and issued a summons for possession of an illegal weapon. Cleared by arrest.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT

Longmont Police responded to the area of Mountain View Avenue and Vivian Street on a report of a possible domestic argument. A juvenile male was arrested for DV-Harassment and Violation of a Protection Order. He was transported to the Boulder County Juvenile Detention Center.

THEFT

On Tuesday, 12/5/17, a report was taken reference a theft which occurred in the 100 Blk. of Ken Pratt Blvd. The case is closed as suspects are unknown.

WELFARE CHECK

On December 5, 2017 the Longmont Police Department responded to the 3rd Ave. and Baker St. on a welfare check. An adult male was arrested and charged with a protection order violation and transported to the Boulder County Jail.

THEFT

On December 05, 2017 a theft report was received from the 500 block of S Hover. An adult female was contacted who reported a pair of headphones were stolen from a department store. There are no workable leads or suspect information. Case closed.

INFORMATION

On Tuesday, December 5, 2017 Longmont Police conducted a welfare check on a juvenile who was said to be suicidal. Officers were able to make contact with the juvenile in person and learned she was safe, not suicidal, and under the supervision of a responsible adult. The father of the juvenile was also contacted and is aware of the situation. This report is for informational purposes, and the case is closed.

CHILD

On 120517, officers responded to Longmont United Hospital on a report of a child abuse. Case is closed as probable cause does not exist at this time.

HARASSMENT

On 12/05/2017 at about 2121 hours the Longmont Police was dispatched to the 300 block of Quail Rd on a disturbance between juveniles. Case open.

TRAFFIC STOP

On November 20, 2017, Police contacted a vehicle on the 2200 block of E Ken Pratt Blvd for careless driving. Two juveniles and one male were contacted and later released on warnings. Case closed.

ASSAULT

On Saturday, 12-2-2017, Police were dispatched to contact a juvenile male about a harassment which occured in the 400 block of Main Street, Longmont, CO 80501. Police investigated and documented their findings. Case closed.

DISTURBANCE

The Longmont Police Department investigated a harassment complaint at 15th Av./Meeker Dr. Case is open.

WARRANT ARREST

On Monday, December 4, 2017, Police conducted a traffic stop near 17th Ave/Pace St. The male driver was issued a summons for traffic and drug paraphernalia. The male passenger was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Case cleared by arrest.

SUICIDE ATTEMPT

On Tuesday, December 5, 2017 Longmont Police responded to the 1500 block Main St. on a report of a suicidal female. An adult female was found to be a danger to herself and was taken to Longmont United Hospital and placed on a 72 hour mental healt hold. Case closed.

SHOPLIFT

An employee of a Longmont business in the 2200 block of East Ken Pratt Boulevard reported a theft of electronics by a known suspect. The case remains open pending additional follow-up.

WARRANT ARREST

On Tuesday, 12-5-2017, at 11000 hours, Longmont Police arrested an adult male on a warrant arrest in the lobby of the Longmont Police Department.

WARRANT ARREST

On December 5, 2017 Longmont Police responded to the 2500 Blk of Main St on an attempt to locate. One adult male was located and taken into custody and transported to Boulder County Jail.

RECOVERED VEHICLE

On 120517, officers responded to the 700 block of Sage Pl. on a report of a parking complaint. The vehicle on scene was later determined to be an active steal out of Broomfield. Case is closed.

THEFT

On Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at about 1431 hours, Longmont Police took a report of a thef that occurred in the 400 block of Kensington St. Officers found several tools and money were stolen. Case open.

FRAUD

A Longmont resident in the 600 block of Martin Street reported an incident of identity theft. The case status is closed due to jurisdictional issues.

TRAFFIC STOP

On December 5th, 2017, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 900 BLK of Hover Street. Two adults were issued citations for fictitious plates. Case cleared by arrest.
