Police Report: July 2, 2017

Arson On Sunday, July 2, 2017, at approximately 3:37am, police responded to the 500 block Atwood Street in relation to a vehicle on fire. The case is open and will be requested to be followed up by detectives.

Arson

On Sunday, July 2, 2017, at approximately 3:37am, police responded to the 500 block Atwood Street in relation to a vehicle on fire. The case is open and will be requested to be followed up by detectives.

Criminal Mischief

On Sunday, July 2, 2017 officers responded to a criminal mischief to two vehicles in the 1700 block of Ontario Drive. There are no suspects at this time and so the case is closed.

On Saturday, July 1, 2017,  a resident of the 3900 block of DaVinci Dr witnessed an unknown male carrying a City of Longmont street sign. The male dropped the sign and left the area. The sign was from Clover Basin Dr and DaVinci Dr and was placed into evidence, to be returned to the street department. The matter is closed due to lack of leads.

On Sunday, July 2, 2017 Longmont Police responded to the 400 block of Fox St for damage to a vehicle. A male was later taken into custody and transported to Boulder County Jail. Cleared by arrest.

Graffiti

On Sunday, July 2, 2017, Longmont Police responded on a graffiti call in the 1500 block of Main St. No suspect information was available and the case is closed.

On Sunday, July 2, 2017, Longmont Police responded to the 500 block of Baker St reference graffiti on the property. There are no suspects and the case is closed.

On Sunday, July 2, 2017, Longmont Police responded to the 400 block of Martin St reference graffiti on the property. There are no suspects and the case is closed.

Auto Theft

On Sunday, July 2, 2017, Police contacted an adult male resident in the 3800 block of Florentine Dr about an auto theft. Police investigated and documented their findings. Case closed.

Suspicious Situation

On June 30, 2017, at approximately 5:10pm, Longmont Police officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Sepia Ave on the report of a suspicious male walking up to the home. The male was contacted, and no charges were filed. Case is closed.

Domestic Incident

On Saturday, July 1, 2017, Longmont officers investigated a Domestic assault which occurred at an unknown location in the City of Longmont. An adult female was assaulted by her boyfriend however she was uncooperative with officers and refused to provide details of the incident. The case is Open.

On Sunday, July 2, 2017, at 2:18am, officers responded to a hit and run accident in the 1400 block of Centennial Drive. It was learned the adult male suspect crashed into his neighbors car after being involved in a domestic violence incident involving his spouse, and violating protection orders. He fled on foot, but was found hiding nearby and arrested. The matter is cleared by arrest.

Follow Up

On Saturday, July 1, 2017, at approximately 2:15pm, an officer took a report of a stolen vehicle that occurred in the 1700 block of Sunset St. The vehicle was already recovered prior to the owners knowledge. This case is closed.

Animal Complaint

A Longmont woman's dog ran away and believes it was stolen by a juvenile neighbor.

Protection Order

On Saturday, July 1, 2017, at approximately 7pm, officers responded to the 2500 Sunset Drive for a report of a female screaming. Officers located an adult male and adult female in the home. The male was found to have a protection order which restrained him from the female which was from a previous arrest with the same female victim. The male was also found to be in violation of bond conditions and had strangled the female while attempting to keep her from leaving the home. The male was arrested and taken to the Boulder County Jail. Cleared by Arrest

Other Agency Assist

On Saturday, July 1, 2017, the Longmont Police Department took a report of an escape from community corrections in the 200 block of Main Street. A 36 year old male absconded from custody. This case is under investigation.

Warrant Arrest

On Saturday, July 1, 2017, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Kimbark St. An adult female was arrested as she was found to have warrants. The case is cleared by arrest.

Menacing

On Saturday, July 1, 2017, just before midnight, an unknown male who appeared to be highly intoxicated entered the back door of a business in the 600 block of Main Street. After being told to leave the business by an employee, the male pulled out a pocket knife frightening the employees. The male fled prior to police arrival. The case is open, referred to investigations.

Welfare Check

On Sunday, July 2, 2017, at approximately 2:09am police responded to the 1300 block Wildrose Court in relation to a welfare check. An adult male was placed on a Mental Health hold. The case is closed.

FDC/Crime Trespass

On Sunday, July 2, 2017, Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Alder Way on a criminal trespass to a vehicle. Police investigated and documented their findings. Case closed.

Burglary

On Sunday, July 2, 2017, at approximately 9:30am, officers responded to the 000 block of Pike Rd., on a report of a cold burglary and criminal mischief. Due to the lack of suspect information this case is closed.

Theft

On Sunday, July 2, 2017, at approximately 10:40am, officers responded to a report of a cold theft that occurred in the 1000 block of S. Bowen St.. Due to the lack of suspect information this case is closed.

Missing Person

On Sunday, July 2, 2017 Officers were dispatched to take a report of a missing 30 year old female from the 2400 block of Mountain View Ave. The female was entered as a missing person. Case is closed.

Shoplift

On Sunday, July 2, 2017, at about 7:05 PM an Officer from the Longmont Police Department was dispatched to the 500 block of S. Hover St on a report of a theft. A 20 year old female was referred to the Longmont Community Justice Program. Case closed.
