Police Report: October 29, 2017

DUI

On Sunday 102917 at approximately 0035 hours, the Longmont Police Department investigated a hit and run in the 800 block of Bowen St. The driver fled and was located near Hover St. and Purdue Dr. One adult male was arrested on DUI and traffic charges, as well as on an outstanding warrant. Case cleared by arrest.

TRAFFIC STOP

On October 28th, 2017, Officers initiated a traffic stop near the area of Ken Pratt BLVD and Nelson Road. One juvenile male cited for careless driving and possession of Marijuana. Two adult males were also cited for possession of Marijuana. Case cleared by arrest.

ARSON

On Saturday, October 28, 2017 Longmont Police and Fire responded on a burning structure in the 1200 block of Cornell Dr. There are no suspect leas at this time. Case Open.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

On Saturday (10-28-17) at approximately 1119 hours, officers responded to a report of an arson in the 800 block of Coffman St.. Due to the lack of suspect information this case is closed.

PROTECTION ORDER

On Saturday (10-28-17) at approximately 1200 hours, officers responded to the 1500 block of Sepia Ave., on a possible restraining order violation. This case is open and under investigation.

MISSING PERSON

On Saturday, October 28 2017, Longmont Police responded to a report of a missing person in the 400 block of Verdant Cir. A 16 year old female was later located at her father's house. The case is closed.

WARRANT ARREST

On October 28, 2017 Longmont Police were patrolling the area of S. Pratt Pkwy and Royal St., in the City of Longmont, County of Boulder, and State of Colorado. An adult male and an adult female were contacted. The adult male was arrested on two outstanding warrants. This case is cleared by arrest.

ASSAULT

On 10-29-17 at 0116 hours, an intoxicated adult male resident of Longmont was found unconscious in the 300 block of Main Street. The male suffered a minor injury. He stated he was struck from behind by an unknown person who also took cash from his wallet. The victim was unable to provide a description and there are no further leads. The matter is closed.

PROTECTION ORDER

On Sunday 10/29/2017 at approximately 0301 hours police responded to the 1600 block Amherst Drive in relation to a protection order violation. An adult male was arrested. The case is cleared by arrest.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT

On October 29, 2017, the Longmont Police Department responded to the 2300 block of Wedgewood Drive on domestic violence-related harassment. This case is open.

FRAUD

On Sunday, October 29, 2017 at approximately 1230 hours Longmont Police took a report of forgery and theft from an incident occurring on October 28, 2017 in the 2200 block of E. Ken Pratt Bl. This case will be closed unless additional leads develop.

WARRANT ARREST

On Sunday 10/29/17, Longmont Police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation near Alpine St and Elliot St. An adult male passenger was a felony warrant and taken to the Boulder County Jail. The case is cleared.

WARRANT ARREST

On Sunday, October 29, 2017 at about 1723 hours, Longmont Police were dispatched to the area of 9th Avenue and Main Street on a report of an aggressive driver. An adult male was contacted in the 1500 block of Collyer Street and arrested on an active felony warrant out of the Department of Corrections for escape. The male was transported to the Boulder County Jail.

SUSPICIOUS SITUATION

On Sunday, 10/29/17 at about 1958 hours, Officers with the Longmont Police Department responded to the 900 Blk of S. Hover for the report of a suspicious male looking into vehicles. The suspect was located and later arrested for drug charges. Closed by arrest.
