Prosper Longmont today announced its support for Proposition 123, the statewide ballot measure that, if approved, would require state lawmakers to spend a certain portion of the state’s yearly budget on affordable housing.  It would earmark about 2 percent of income tax revenues, or nearly $300 million in the next fiscal year, for affordable housing.

Prosper Longmont is a coalition of residents, businesses, and civic leaders representing a cross-section of the community who have come together to bring a collective voice to the critical issue of attainable housing in Longmont.

Prosper Longmont supports Proposition 123 because it directs both funding and the public’s attention to address the critical need of housing residents in our state.

We look forward to being part of the process to efficiently put those dollars to work in our communities.
