Longmont's Veterans Day Parade starts at 11:11 a.m. on Nov. 11, 2017.
Lineup for the parade begins around Roosevelt Park at 9:30 a.m. The parade route will proceed east to Main Street, south to Third Avenue, west to Coffman Street, then north, ending back at Roosevelt Park.
The parade marshal this year is Jack Thurman, a World War II Marine veteran who was in the first wave of Marines to invade Iwo Jima and helped to raise the American flag on Iwo Jima.
The American Legion Post 32 Honor Guard will lead the parade with colors. The parade is sponsored by John Harold Buckley American Legion Post 32. Seven high school bands are expected to perform while marching in the parade.
