Holiday Schedules for City Facilities
Most City facilities will be closed on Friday, Dec. 31. Some Recreation facilities will be open Friday, but closed Saturday. The Longmont Museum will close at 1 p.m. on Friday and will be open on Saturday. The Longmont Library will be closed on Friday and Saturday. Trash and recycling services will operate on a regular schedule this week. Recycle Your Holidays
The City offers several opportunities from now through Sunday, Jan. 9, for residents to recycle holiday materials. Christmas trees can be dropped off at designated areas within Roosevelt, Garden Acres, Kanemoto and Centennial parks, and at the Waste Diversion Center. Please remove all decorations and lights. Special bins will be set up at the Waste Diversion Center, 140 Martin St., for wrapping paper, holiday lights and white block foam recycling. New Year’s Zumba® Fitness Class
Enjoy friends, fitness and fun to ring in the new year! Join Recreation fitness staff for the 11th annual Zumba Party from 1-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 1, at the Longmont Recreation Center, 310 Quail Road. This event is for all ages as long as children are supervised. Cost is $10 per person (passes not accepted). No pre-registration needed. The remainder of the building is closed on New Year’s Day. Doors open at 12:40 p.m.

Catch “Longmont 150” Before It’s History!
Catch the “Longmont 150” exhibit at the Longmont Museum, 400 Quail Road, before it becomes history on Jan. 9, 2022! It’s been 150 years since the Chicago Colorado Colony founded the town of Longmont, and only a few more weeks until the exhibit named in honor of this anniversary closes! 30-Day Rec Passes: Perfect for Students
Do you have a student who is home and looking for fitness options during winter break? Check out Recreation’s 30-day pass! The 30-Day Individual Pass is valid at all recreation facilities, including the ice rink, and expires after 30 days. The pass is not transferable and can only be used by the named individual. The Longmont Library is excited to announce the return of the Prospector lending service in January 2022 — giving our patrons and staff access to more than 30 million books, videos, CDs and other materials from nearly 200 libraries across Colorado and Wyoming.
