Tornado warning expired for Longmont area

The warning continues for Lamoure and Stutsman counties

From 5:02 p.m. to 5:32 p.m. the National Weather Service reports five instances where the tornado just east of Longmont touched down. According to the data provided, it touched down twice near Firestone and three times west of Platteville. 

The magnitude of the tornado has yet to be identified. 

The storm that produced the tornado is currently in north-central Lamoure and southeastern Stutsman counties. A tornado warning remains in effect for these areas until 8:30 p.m.

The storm is moving northeast at 25 mph with the capability of producing more tornados and golf ball sized hail, according to the National Weather Service.
