Traffic Impacts on Coffman Street Between 1st Avenue and 3rd Avenue Starting After Labor Day

There will be several traffic impacts along Coffman Street between 1st Avenue and 3rd Avenue during the first week of September.

There will be several traffic impacts along Coffman Street between 1st Avenue and 3rd Avenue during the first week of September. This includes lane closures, driveway closures and a partial intersection closure for concrete and paving work. Expect delays and follow posted detours. Please note that these dates/times are subject to change based on weather and other factors.

September 2 – 4: Southwest Corner of Coffman Street and 3rd Avenue Closed

  • Construction will temporarily close the southwest corner of the intersection.

  • One lane of traffic on 3rd Avenue will be allowed to travel in both directions through the intersection.

  • Southbound lanes of Coffman Street are closed between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue.

  • The sidewalk on the southwest corner will be closed. Pedestrians will need to detour to the north side of the intersection to cross Coffman Street.

September 3: South Section of Coffman Street and 2nd Avenue Intersection Closed

  • Coffman Street will be closed for approximately 100 feet just south of 2nd Avenue.

  • Traffic on 2nd Avenue will not be able to go south on Coffman Street.

  • Traffic heading northbound on Coffman Street from 1st Avenue will need to turn around and exit back to 1st Avenue.

September 4: Paving West Side of Coffman Street from 2nd Avenue to 3rd Avenue

  • The southbound lanes of Coffman Street will be closed between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue. One-way northbound traffic only.

  • No driveway access on the west side of Coffman Street. Residents will need to move vehicles prior to 7 am.

  • No parking on either side of Coffman Street in this block.

September 4: 201 Coffman Street Post Office Customer Parking Lot Closed

  • Access blocked from Coffman Street into the Longmont Post Office parking lot from 5:30 pm Wednesday, September 3 until the facility’s opening at 9 am Friday, September 5.

  • Facility will remain open for business during this driveway and lot closure, offering usual access to counter services, P.O. boxes and passport appointments.

  • Postal patrons will need to walk to the entrance from nearby on-street parking or the public parking lots on Coffman Street north of 3rd Avenue.

  • No parking on either side of Coffman Street between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue.
