Parades, festivities and asphalt patching pave the way to road closures this week in Longmont.
Eastbound Third Avenue will be closed between Terry Street and Main Street November 10 from 8:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. for asphalt patching and street repair.
Westbound traffic along Third Avenue will remain open, while eastbound traffic will detour to Terry Street. Southbound traffic on Terry Street will make a left onto Second Avenue and northbound will make a right on Fourth Avenue to divert back to Main Street.
Thursday’s Veteran’s Day parade will see extended closures for Main and Coffman streets from 9 a.m. through 2 p.m. for the parade route and festivities.
Main Street will be closed between Third and Longs Peak avenues, with southbound traffic detoured at Ninth Avenue. Coffman Street will be closed between Third and Ninth Avenues, along with the streets bordering Roosevelt Park.
Finally, Fourth Avenue will be closed between Main and Kimbark streets on Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the Miracle on 4th holiday market. All adjacent streets will remain open for through traffic.
