Alyson Meyer Gould has been appointed to the St. Vrain and Left Hand Water Conservancy District Board of Directors.
Meyer Gould was appointed due to a vacancy created by Dennis Yanchunas, who did not seek a new term after serving on the district board for 17 years. She is an attorney with the Colorado Water Trust.
“Dennis’ contributions to our community are immeasurable, and we are grateful for his service and vision for a balanced water management,” Board President Christopher Smith said in a release. “Alyson is an exceptional addition to the Board, and we are pleased to have someone with such a deep understanding of water law and the environment.”
The St. Vrain and Left Hand Water Conservancy District was organized in 1971 to protect water rights, encourage improved water management and support the development of additional water storage.
“I am grateful for the appointment and I am eager to contribute to the district,” Meyer Gould said. “The district has a strong legacy of providing solutions, I look forward to being part of the district’s leadership in implementing its Water Plan.”
Directors Dan Wolford and Michael Rademacher were also reappointed to serve another four years.
