Rhythm on the River Reversed!

Get your glow on at Rhythm on the River, Longmont’s signature zero-waste event, as we celebrate the environment, the community, art and music from 5 to 10 pm on Friday and Saturday, July 7 and 8, at Roger’s Grove, 220 Hover Road. Musical highlights include Rob Drabkin, Triple Nickel, the Burroughs, and Wild Child, along with other great acts throughout the weekend. Create your own art, play in Dizzy’s Fun Center inflatables, paddle and climb at the Outdoor Adventure Land, and enjoy great food, beverages and fun for kids of all ages. Startup Week

Longmont Startup Week 2017, July 24 - July 28, brings together entrepreneurs, wanna-preneurs, creatives, techies, inventors, business owners, and investors to connect and inspire. Over the course of five days, multiple events, panels and speakers will be hosted throughout Longmont, showcasing this area’s startup community in tech, bioscience, creative arts, culinary, and more. Event topics include design, development, marketing, finance, legal, and entrepreneur basics. All events are FREE and provide outstanding learning and networking opportunities. Shred Your Private Documents for Free

Take boxed or bagged papers to be shredded to the Waste Diversion Center at 140 Martin Street between 9 am and 2 pm on Saturday, July 15. This is for residential documents only; no business documents accepted. Please also take ID and a copy of your most recent Longmont utility bill. 2017 National Night Out

From 6 to 9 pm on Tuesday, August 1, neighborhoods throughout Longmont will join with communities nationwide for the 34th annual National Night Out (NNO) crime and drug prevention event. Lock your doors, turn on outside lights, and spend the evening outside with neighbors. Many areas plan special events such as block parties, cookouts, parades, flashlight walks, contests and more. A 2017 National Night Out Planning Kit is available at LongmontColorado.gov to help you jump-start local activities. Celebrate 20 Years of Ute Creek Golf

Are you ready for some rockin’ summer fun? Join us from 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday, July 22, at Ute Creek Golf Course, 2000 Ute Creek Drive, for the 20th Anniversary Birthday Bash. This free, family event features the popular band The Long Run along with games, prizes, hot dogs, and cupcakes (while they last). Youth and Adult Games in the Park

Adults and kids age 10 and older can go “old school” and play picnic games such as Cornhole, Kan Jam, Washer Toss and more from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on Tuesday, July 25, at Thompson Park, 420 Bross Street. Parking Enforcement Needs You!

Parking patrol volunteers help ensure that handicap parking is accessible to people with disabilities and educate others about the importance of handicap parking.
