Bike to Work on Wednesday
On June 28, join thousands of commuters for Bike to Work Day. Register now at biketoworkday.us. Need a bike? Try Zagster bike share. Fifty cruiser bikes are available at 10 stations for members to use for on-demand, local trips. Riders can pay by the hour, or join the program by signing up for monthly or annual memberships. City Immigration Policies Now Online
In May, the Longmont City Council affirmed the City’s policies and practices regarding how services are provided to all of our residents and visitors, in particular those who are undocumented. Bevhavior Standards, Lost and Found Items Posted on City Website
The City of Longmont's Standards of Behavior is a code of conduct for behavior in facilities and on City grounds. It's a citywide approach to both behavior expectations, and to consequences if expectations are not met. These are rules designed to address behavior by anyone at any City facility. You'll also see a list of lost and found items at City buildings posted on the page.
Sign Up for Roger’s River Run 5K
Get ready to GLOW at the Roger’s River Run 5K, sponsored by UCHealth, starting at 7:45 pm on Friday, July 7, during Rhythm on the River. Wear your glow and party apparel, and run, walk or dance the 5K all the way to the finish line, followed by after-race goodies, glow-tastic specialty awards, and the Overall Male and Female award ceremony. Early-bird registration fees by noon on July 5 are $17 for adults, and $15 for youth 14 and younger and seniors 60 and older. Race day fees increase $5, space available. Free Bicycle Rodeo for Ages 4 to 11
The City will hold a free bicycle rodeo for children ages 4 to 11 from 9 am to noon on Wednesday, July 5, at Izaak Walton Clubhouse, 18 S. Sunset Street. Kids will participate in drills to acquire bicycle handling skills, increase awareness of objects, learn how to ride with others, do a bike safety check, get a helmet fit, learn bike lock-up techniques, and more. Please Mind the Signs!
Longmont Parking Enforcement reminds drivers to pay attention to signs in the downtown area regarding parking. Not only is parking time-limited in many areas, there also are occasional street closures for events and concerts when vehicles must be moved from on-street parking by a specific time. Signs will always be posted to alert the public to these special parking limits. It is also important to not park in handicap spaces or the access lanes, which are marked with diagonal stripes next to these spaces. Parking Enforcement does not want to ticket or tow your car, so please check the signs and obey the parking regulations.
