The project’s Frequently Asked Questions webpage has also been updated with information we have been hearing from residents.
Anticipated Timeline
Boulder County’s Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at a date to be determined in January. The Board of County Commissioners will then hold a public hearing at a date to be determined in early 2021. All meeting information will be shared on the project webpage and via the project listserv as soon as it is known.
If the facility moves forward after county and state review, construction is anticipated to begin in the fall of 2021, and the facility should be operational by the fall of 2022.
Questions and comments on the proposed facility can be submitted using the project’s web form, which is available on the project website - www.boco.org/compost-facility.
