The Personal Investment Enterprise (PIE) program, a local savings program provided through Boulder County Community Action Programs in partnership with Mile High United Way, is offering upcoming orientations throughout November and December for eligible participants. Orientations are being offered in both English and Spanish from 6 to 7 p.m. on the following dates via Zoom conference platform: Nov. 4, 5 and 10 (class offered in Spanish) and Dec. 8, 9 and 10 (class offered in Spanish).

PIE is designed for low-income families to save through opening a matching savings account and participate in financial coaching and financial fitness classes. The program matches participant savings at a rate of 4-to-1; for every $25 saved, the program matches $100 toward the asset purchase. As part of this program, participants receive $4,000 toward starting a new business, secondary education, or first-time homeownership while saving and gaining financial advice.

The virtual orientations are open to Boulder and Broomfield county residents free of charge, and registration is required to attend. Qualifying registered participants who meet eligibility criteria will receive a Zoom invitation one week prior to the scheduled orientation.

For more information about this program or to register for any of the upcoming orientations, please contact Nino Gallo at 720-672-5961 or email [email protected].
