About Crafternoon Challenge

Crafternoon Challenge is a weekly craft that kids age 3 to 9 years old can do with help from an adult.

Do This Week's Challenge

See the instructions below to gather your supplies, or pick up a kit at the Library's Children's & Teens' Area, 409 4th Ave. (while supplies last). Then, see the instructions below to make this week's craft!

Supplies:

  • Different shades of brown construction paper
  • Orange construction paper
  • Yellow construction paper
  • Black marker
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Instructions:

  1. Tear pieces of brown construction paper and glue them to your blue construction paper in an owl shape. Tearing different shapes and sizes of paper and using different shades of brown will give your owl more texture and make them seem more life-like.
  2. Cut out a beak shape and feet shapes for your owl out of orange construction paper and eyes out of yellow construction paper.
  3. Glue your beak, eyes and feet in the appropriate spots and give your owl pupils with a marker.
