Crafternoon Challenge: Worry Dolls

About Crafternoon Challenge - Hispanic Heritage Month

Come to the library on Mondays during Hispanic Heritage Month to pick up a craft kit to take home. Crafts are suitable for children 3-9 years old with the help of an adult. Kits are available after Bilingual Storytime (10-10:30 a.m.).

Do This Week's Challenge

Worry dolls are small figures from the Mayan culture in Guatemala. When a child can’t sleep, they can tell their worries to the doll and keep it under their pillow. In the morning, they will be able to resolve their problems and worries.

See the instructions below to gather your supplies, or pick up a kit at the Library's Children's and Teens' Area, 409 4th Ave. (while supplies last). Then, see the instructions below to make this week's craft!
