Six teams have been awarded $80,000 as winners of Go Code Colorado’s Business Solutions Challenge, in which teams use public data to turn Business Opportunities into Business Solutions.

Many of the finalist submissions were focused on issues raised during COVID-19, while others addressed topics specific to industries, environmental impacts, or education. Teams competed to integrate Colorado's public data into tools and valuable analytics for Colorado's business decision-makers.

Any team competing in the Business Solutions Challenge could leverage the proposals published as part of Go Code Colorado’s Business Opportunities Challenge held last fall to develop their solution or submit an original idea.  A panel of industry judges reviewed each submission, and the top three ideas in each track (Business Applications or Business Analytics) received a total of $80,000. The 2021 winning teams are:

Analytics Track Winners:

  • 1st Place  - CRPforOpportunity
  • 2nd Place - WhoCARES
  • 3rd Place - Mavucation

Application Track Winners:

  • 1st Place - PlasticScore
  • 2nd Place - COCannabis
  • 3rd Place - Open Water Foundation
