In The Trenches is a brand new musical (in process!) from the pen of Graham and Kristina Fuller. It explores the unique joys, hilarity, and craziness involved with parenting young children.

Info about the event:

6 pm to 6:30 pm: Mix n’ mingle

6:30 pm to 7:30 pm: Show

7:30 pm to 8 pm: Afterparty

Can’t leave your children at home? Or can’t find a babysitter in time for the show? Family Village will be providing child care during the event for those that need it.

Monday, July 30 Boulder County Fair Opens August 3

Written by Macie May: The Boulder County Fair begins August 3 and goes until August 12. It is located at the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont, 9595 Nelson Road.

According to the Boulder County Fair website, "the Boulder County Fair is the oldest fair in Colorado, operating since 1869."

The fair will feature over 100 free events. Some of those events include the firefighter combat challenge, arm wrestling and the Colorado Garden Tractors Pull. To see the calendar of events click here. Gate admission and parking are free.

  • A Sales and Use Tax Seminar will take place on Wednesday, August 8 at the Civic Center, 350 Kimbark St., at 10 a.m. Questions concerning business sales and use tax in Longmont will be answered.   • All Colorado motor vehicle services will not be available August 1-5. Technical upgrades are being made during this time. The unavailable services included are vehicle registration renewal, vehicle titling, International Registration Plan and ownership transfers. For more information visit mydmv.colorado.gov.
  • Former Denver Nuggets players are hosting a free basketball clinic for children ages 6-12, on Wednesday, August 8 from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Longmont Recreation Center, 310 Quail Road. Photos and a Q&A session with Denver Nuggets ambassadors may be included. To register call 303-774-4800 or visit LongmontColoado.gov/rec (keyword “nuggets”).
  • Registration is now open for fall adult sports leagues. Longmont Recreation and Golf Services offer leagues in coed kickball, outdoor grass coed volleyball, flag football, softball and basketball. For registration details and deadlines, visit LongmontColorado.gov/leagues or call 303-774-4800.
