Parry's Pizzeria & Bar, Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley and 10 breweries and local businesses have teamed up for the House That Beer Built. This is a partnership to support affordable home ownership in the community.

Parry's Pizzeria & Bar is hosting a House That Beer Built Kick-Off Party on Thursday, August 16 from 6-9 p.m. at Parry's Pizza in Longmont, 1232 S. Hover St. #100.

The event is a celebration of the construction of the program's second home. “Breweries in the first House that Beer Built collectively raised over $50,000 and contributed more than 500 volunteer hours making the project a success,” stated David Emerson, Executive Director for St. Vrain Habitat. “The craft brewing industry is a tremendous supporter of our community and we are excited to be working with them again on the House That Beer Built.”

"Silent auction items, t-shirt sales and select beer sales from the event will be donated to help St. Vrain Habitat build a home for a family in need," states a press release.

Rainbow Elders of Boulder County Seek Community Participation in Surveys

The Rainbow Elders of Boulder County are encouraging members of the LGBTQ community to participate in a few surveys.

According to their recent newsletter, "In research, LGBTQ folks are often ignored, and not counted, silencing that voice. Therefore, when opportunities arise to specifically add our voice as LGBTQ folks, it's paramount for us to get involved."

  • LGBTQ Coloradans experience greater health disparities than non-LGBTQ peers, but the reality is very little data is collected on it. It’s time to change that. Share your story, and take One Colorado's 2018 LGBTQ Health Survey.
  • Out Boulder County is conducting a survey of LGBTQ folks to learn more about lived experiences. The benefit of this survey is that you will be counted and help OBC and other community organizations better understand community needs, the resources available, and the unmet needs. Take Out Boulder County's LGBTQ Community Survey.
