St. Vrain hires six new administrators

Positions include Lyons Middle Senior principal, director of nutrition and area assistant superintendent

The St. Vrain Valley School District board approved the hiring of six new administrators on Wednesday.

Hires included a new area assistant superintendent, director of nutrition and warehouse services, principal at Lyons Middle Senior High School, assistant principal and dean of students at Trail Ridge Middle School and dean of students at Longs Peak Middle School.

Douglas Bissonette has been named an area assistant superintendent. From 2003 to 2009, Bissonette served as superintendent of schools for Ridgway School District. Since 2009, he has held the position as superintendent of schools at Elizabeth School District.

For director of nutrition and warehouse services, the district hired Katie Cossette. Cossette was assistant director of nutrition services at the Adams County School District from 2014-2017 and currently serves as the director of nutrition services for Englewood School District.

The district also named Chistopher Frank as the new principal at Lyons Middle Senior. Frank taught science for five years in the Widefield School District before becoming an assistant principal in the Thompson School District from 2015-2019. He currently serves as the assistant principal at Altona Middle School.

Matt Coniglio was hired as an assistant principal at Trail Ridge Middle School. He taught language arts and technology design at Sunset Middle School from 2012 to 2018 and has been serving in the district as the dean of students at Trail Ridge Middle School.

Jaclyn Scott will take Coniglio’s place as dean of students at Trail Ridge, where she has been teaching middle school language arts since 2017. Before that, Scott taught at the Weld RE-3J and Weld RE-5J school districts.

Finally, the district named Neil Shupe as dean of students at Longs Peak Middle School. Shupe taught science and math in the Greeley-Evans School District from 2008-2016. He has been teaching as an advanced manufacturing academy instructor at the Career Elevation and Technology Center since 2016.

All positions are effective July 1.
