St. Vrain Valley School District announced that it had received the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 19th consecutive year on Thursday.

The award is given by the Association of School Business Officials International for school districts that demonstrate transparency and quality financial information as the steward of public funds.

“The COE’s mission is to promote and recognize excellence in financial reporting,” said ASBO International Chief Operations Officer/Interim Executive Director Siobhan McMahon. “The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) informs stakeholders about the financial and economic state of the district, making it an important communications tool for building trust and engaging with the school community.”

Each year the district submits its financial information for a rigorous review by a panel of financial professionals.

"Receiving the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 19th consecutive year is a testament to our district's commitment to transparency and responsible financial management. It reflects the dedication and hard work of our financial team, as well as the collaborative efforts of staff across all schools and departments throughout the district," said Greg Fieth, SVVSD chief financial officer.
