The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory to much of the Front Range, including Longmont.
The advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday with temperatures up to 103 degrees expected. Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.
The public is advised to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, limit time out in the sun and check up on relatives and neighbors. When outside, consider taking extra precautions, like wearing lightweight and loose fitting clothing.
Forecasters also advise limiting strenuous activities to early morning or evening and taking action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
