 Albert Lauren Lowe passed away March 30, 2023. He was born at home on February 1, 1934, in Argonia, Kansas to Estel Lowe and Hortense (Karnahan) Lowe. He graduated from Argonia High School in 1952 and from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas in 1958. He received his master’s degree in music from Wichita State University in 1962. He played tuba in the 45th Band at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas from 1954-1956. He married Darlene Okerberg on July 31, 1955, in Newton, Kansas. He taught music in Dighton, Kansas, Newton, Kansas and Windsor, Colorado. He sang in Methodist Church choirs and directed Methodist church choirs for over 20 years. In Loveland, he repaired band instruments. He loved cooking for family gatherings.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his three sisters and his daughter-in-law, Deborah Lowe.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene Lowe, his two sons, Geoffrey Lowe (Jennifer) and Norman Lowe and his daughter, Gloria Powell, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He loved his family and his country.

A memorial service will be held at Loveland First United Methodist Church on Tuesday, April 25th at 2:00 p.m. Memorials can be made to First United Methodist Church, the music dedicated account.
