Barbara Ann Rankin of Loveland, Colorado was born October 12,1934 and  went home to be with the Lord on November 24 , 2020. Barbara and her husband Calvin Rankin made their home in Loveland for 43 years Barbara was born in Los Angeles , California on October 12, 1934 and was raised by her grandmother Bernice Richardson . At the age of 16 she met the love of her life - Cal Rankin - a Sailor in the U.S. Navy. After a whirlwind courtship and before he shipped out for Korea - he sent her to his parents home in Kansas . Immediately upon his return they eloped to Huntsville , Arkansas in November of 1952 . They were married 52 years and 1 day. 

Barbara was a proud Mother to 5 children -

Alan ( Beth) Rankin

A daughter Leanna preceded her in death in 1962 and a granddaughter Jennifer Lynch in 1999 . 

Barbara was a stay at home mother and in 1979 went to work for the Cat's Pajamas in downtown Loveland until 1984. She so enjoyed talking and working with the public ,making friends , and enjoying all the kids after school. When she retired her and Cal spent their free time traveling in the U.S. and abroad . After Cal's death in 2004 she continued to travel with her children , grandchildren ,and great grandchildren . Especially enjoying her yearly trips to Las Vegas. Barbara also enjoyed attending Cal's U.S. Navy Reunions all over the U.S. and Australia and continued to attend them even after his passing. Her favorite place to visit was Alaska and she was blessed to go 3 times - the last visit was in 2018 . Along with traveling she began quilting in 2004 and made quilts for her entire family. 

Barbara made a home filled with love and laughter and wonderful memories. Holidays were her favorite as her family filled her home with much laughter and love. 

Her legacy will live on through her children , grandchildren , great grandchildren ,and great ,great grandchildren . 86 years of Laughter ,Tears ,and Love - she lived a true Love Story.
