NOVEMBER 1, 1946 – AUGUST 20, 2022
Barbara Jean Kisser, age 75, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2022, after a courageous lifelong battle with cerebral palsy.
Barbara, the 4th of 5 children, was born in Baltimore, MD, on 11/01/1946 to Fred and Pearl Kisser. She spent her younger years growing up in the house her father built in Baltimore. At the age of 13, she moved to Colorado with her parents and younger sister, Bonnie. In 1999, she moved in with her caretakers, and lived out the rest of her years in their loving home.
She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and great aunt who loved with her whole heart. Not only did she have a bright and energetic personality, but she was also loving and kind to everyone she met.
She LOVED drinking coffee, root beer, eating chocolate and McDonald’s cheeseburgers. Her hobbies were playing with her baby dolls, working on her sewing cards, singing, watching baseball and “I Love Lucy,” playing cards, traveling, and spending time with family.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Pearl Kisser; her brother, Marvin Kisser; sister, Shirley Nester and her husband Carl; and her sister, Joyce Chambers. She is survived by her sister, Bonnie Davis and her husband Kelly; her sister-in-law, Marie (Marvin) Kisser; her brother-in-law, Harold (Joyce) Chambers; caretaker, Rosa James and her husband Jeremy; and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends.
Barbara loved her family and people in general. She also shared a strong, loving bond with her sister, Bonnie. Most importantly, she loved Jesus. She will be deeply missed by friends, family, and all who knew her. She will especially be remembered for her great, big, beautiful smile, her sassiness, her tender loving spirit, and her love for Jesus!
