Barbara Timmins, 95, of Broomfield passed away March 3, 2024 at Lutheran Hospice in Wheat Ridge. 

Barbara was born February 3, 1929 in Denver, to the late Virgil Hayes and Helen (Doyle) McDonald.

Barbara lived a long, full life as a devoted housewife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and a loyal friend. 

Barbara spent her childhood in Wheat Ridge, and graduated from Wheat Ridge High School. In 1952 she was married to Frank Timmins. Through a job promotion they left Wheat Ridge and moved to Salt Lake City in 1961. Frank retired in 1983 and they moved to Broomfield in 1986, to Mom's beloved Gate-and-Green, where Barbara's mother, Helen McDonald , an original owner since 1977, also resided. Barbara loved living in Gate-and-Green, with her many friends over the years. She was active on many committees within the community.

Barbara is survived by her Son, Steve; Daughter, Sharon; Son, Ron and Daughter-in-law, Denise; Grandchildren, Steve, Jr., Ian and Alanna; Great Grandchildren, Jonathon and Bradley; Great-Great Grandchildren, Braelynn and Millie.

A rosary will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 10:30am,  with a funeral mass to follow at 11am at Nativity of our Lord Catholic Church, 900 W. Midway Blvd, Broomfield, CO 80020. There will be a procession after the mass to Louisville Cemetery for the Rite of Committal at 2105 Empire Rd. Louisville, CO 80027.

A Celebration of Life will be at Gate and Green Clubhouse 13405 Main St. Broomfield, CO 80020, from 2-4pm. Light h'ors d'oeuvres will be served.
