Bettie J. Wilson, of Berthoud, Colorado passed away on October 29th 2021 in Loveland, Colorado.  She was born on April 21, 1930 in Berthoud, Colorado to Manuel and Elizabeth (Honstein) Schleiger.

On October 12th 1947 she married Compdon A. Wilson in Campion, Colorado. They lived in the Berthoud area their entire lives, living at the old Berthoud Homestead south of Berthoud since the early 1950’s.

Bettie worked beside her husband on the family farm, worked at the Loveland Hewlett Packard and was the family home maker until she semi-retired in 1997 and began wintering with her husband in Apache Junction, Arizona. Returning home to Berthoud in the spring to work on her beautiful yard and tend to her gardens.

Bettie was never one to sit idle and also had a ceramics shop called Little Thompson Ceramics. She taught classes, created decorative ceramic pieces and completed these from start to finish and shared them with family and friends. She was very a talented person with a flair for perfection and the art of creating many beautiful pieces of ceramic art. Bettie was also passionate about cooking, creating many wonderful meals for family and friends.

Bettie is survived by her daughter Sandra Jurs and husband Dennis of Berthoud and daughter Cheryl Wilson-Belz and husband Robert of Loveland.

Bettie is also survived by her grandson Sean Jurs of Berthoud, great grandchildren Brett Jurs of Berthoud, and Bryce Jurs and wife Sonya of Fort Collins. Additionally, her special niece DaVee Shelander and husband Terry of Arvada, Colorado.

Bettie is preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Compdon Wilson. Parents, Manual and Elizabeth Schleiger, sister Josephine Martindale and granddaughter in law Michele Jurs.

A private family graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery in Berthoud, Colorado.
