Betty Joyce Benson (Palmer) of Loveland passed away in Loveland, Colorado on December 21, 2023.
Betty was born on September 10, 1930, in Leon, NY. She was the youngest of eight children born to Clara Bell Nickerson Palmer and Ernest Palmer. She met the love of her life, Walter Benson, and married on September 17, 1949. Together they owned and operated a mobile home park in Faulkner, NY before moving to Colorado with their daughter, Lisa Anne. The family was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving as the Relief Society President for many years. She loved to quilt, sew, cook, garden, can and craft. She was an Avon representative for many years. She enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Betty is survived by three grandchildren; Joshua Einfalt (Rebecca), Melissa Mendez (Jason) and Ashley Maier (Scott); and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter and her daughter Lisa Anne.
The funeral service celebrating Betty’s life will be Friday, December 29, 2023. Viewing will begin at 9am followed by a 10am service at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1445 SW 28th St, Loveland, CO 80538. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
