November 2, 1960 ~ July 14, 2022 (age 61)

Born Brad William Martin on November 2, 1960, in Denver, Colorado, he was the fifth of six children and the 3rd son of Shirley and Bob Martin. Brad spent his childhood and early adulthood in Colorado, leaving to live in Ft Lauderdale FL for a time with his best friend Dale and at another point in his 20’s to live in Georgetown, IL with his father on the family farm. He always returned to Colorado, which he considered home.

Growing up, Brad loved using his mind and hands together, creating new things from random parts or taking things apart, figuring out how they worked and putting them together again. In later life he became a skilled tradesman specializing in carpentry and woodworking. Over the years he held jobs as a woodworker, groundskeeper, maintenance man, commercial grip, and a construction laborer/supervisor.

Brad had many things he loved; his family and friends, cars, the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies, and dogs. Especially dogs. His heart was always with animals and he would do anything for the dogs in his life, at one point rescuing the first dog he had as an adult, Jessie the collie, from a locked car in the summer heat. That dog was his heart and soul and he never forgot her.

Brad always had a hand to lend to those who asked for his help and was prone to giving all he had to others without asking much for himself.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley B. Martin, his father Robert Dale Martin, and his cousin, Steven Allen Martin. He is survived by his brothers Scott (Peg) Martin and Todd (Sherry) Martin and his sisters Jennifer Martin and Lisa (Kris) Martin; nieces Rachel (Rob) Martin Lafond and Colette (Chris) Greenwalt, nephews Jacob (Amy) Davis and Sam Martin, great-nieces Grace Martin Andrews, Mackenzie and Quinn Davis and Avery Greenwalt, and great-nephews Liam Martin Andrews and Connor Greenwalt; his cousins Nancy (Koehring) Brown, Bill (Caroline) Brown, Bob (Peg) Brown, Larry (Barb) Brown, Susan Martin, Sally Reese, and Sherrill Martin.

He is also survived by many loving friends who will always remember his warm heart, easy laugh and big personality.
