FEBRUARY 4, 1937 – DECEMBER 18, 2020

Charles Dwain Bonham was born in Godley, Texas on February 4, 1937 and passed away on December 18, 2020 in Burleson, Texas. He was a 1955 graduate of Burleson High School.

He married Marla Gayle Phillips on October 7, 1955. Together they raised five children.

He was a Professor in Range Science Management at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado and retired in 2001.

He had a love for trout fishing in the Big Thompson River which he taught some of his children. He spent a short time in Africa with his wife and two children where they shared numerous adventures, which he still talked about.

He loved everything football.

His grandsons playing the game, Sundays watching the Dallas Cowboy games with family. The CSU Rams and Texas Longhorns were his favorites.

Unforgettable memories were made with two decades of annual trips to Twinsburg, Ohio with his two sets of identical twin grandchildren.

He married Margaret on August 23, 2012, and they enjoyed the past two years living in Texas. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marla Gayle, son Gregory Bonham, parents Stanley Bonham and Lois Bonham Castleman, and brothers Farrell, Bobby and Cecil Bonham.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret, sister, Dean Hawkins, brother Murvin Bonham, daughters Deborah Kness (Rick), Lori Burdick (Paul,), sons Stephen Bonham and Mark Bonham (Pam). He had 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
