CJ Weatherly, 45, of Eckley, Colorado peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 11th, 2024, surrounded by family at his home in Eckley CO.
CJ was born in Deming, New Mexico to Bob and Tina Weatherly on September 18th, 1978. He married Wendy Sue (Post) Weatherly on January 18th, 2002 in Haigler, NE. CJ graduated from Wray High School in 1998. He worked in the Agricultural field for many years and enjoyed the outdoors. He worked various jobs where he made many lifelong friendships.
CJ is preceded in death by his grandparents O.L. and Nellie Suggs, Ken and Mildred Weatherly, two uncles and an aunt. CJ is survived by his wife Wendy, children Brendon, Kayle, Dakota, and Reese of Eckley. Parents Bob and Tina Weatherly of Wray. Sister Dana and brother in-law Glenn Mahon of Haigler NE along with many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family.
Rosary will be held from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 21, at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Wray, Colorado with a celebration of life slideshow to follow. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Andrew Catholic Church in Wray, Colorado on Monday January 22, 2024, at 10:00 am with Father Felicien Mbala officiating.
Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Wray.
The Family of CJ wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Reed, Dr. Pehler, Dr. Schade and the other doctors and nursing staff at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver CO.
