Dalton Rogers Drane was born on December 27, 1986 in Columbia, Missouri . He was the youngest of four children born to Don and Darlene . It was often said that he had four mothers because he was loved and doted on by his sisters from the moment he joined the family . Don and Darlene knew their family was complete when he arrived .
Dalton homeschooled with his sisters until they went away to school . It was at Sunnydale Adventist Academy that he met many of his lifelong friends as well as Melissa Kelly who he married in 2009 .
Dalton was skilled at everything he chose to do . He was a diesel mechanic, an artist, and a carpenter . His friends relied on him to help with and fix anything .
He had a great sense of humor and often made friends and family laugh with his observations and choice of words . He kept everyone entertained with his long stories, including every detail .
He had a charisma that drew others to him . It seemed that no matter where he went he had a following . Some of his biggest fans included his nieces and nephews . Uncle Dalton was surrounded by them at any family gathering waiting for him to wrestle and play .
Dalton loved adventure and was always looking for a thrill whether it was hiking Longs Peak, skydiving, snowboarding, playing basketball, rock climbing or driving fast cars .
In 2013 Dalton got the biggest thrill of all when he became a father to Harper . Of all the jobs he held, this one was far and away his favorite . He was adored by her .
Dalton passed on December 5, 2021 after a short battle with Covid .
Dalton is survived by his Father, Don Drane; his Mother, Darlene Rogers Drane; his sisters, Darla Drane (Tommy Butcher), Dena King (Elia King), and Dani Stafford (Jared Stafford); his niece, Ellie King; his nephews, Graham Stafford, Anderson King, and Ryan Stafford; his former spouse, Melissa Drane; and his daughter, Harper Drane.
