Deanna Kaye Deines, 73, of Broomfield, Colorado, passed away into the loving arms of her
Savior on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at her home with her family by her side, after a
courageous battle with cancer.

Deanna Kaye Deines was born on December 5, 1947 in Denver, Colorado to Harry and Mollye
Wollert. She attended grade school at Harrington Elementary, followed by Smiley Junior High
and Rishel Junior High in Denver. She graduated from South High in Denver in 1965 and was
actively involved in bowling, tennis and the Dixie Diplomats while in high school.
Deanna met the love of her life, Ernest Deines Jr., after Ernest’s dad sold her family a car.
Ernest and Deanna were united in marriage on September 29, 1973 at First German
Congregational Church in Globeville, Colorado (now Fellowship Covenant Church in Arvada,
Colorado). They enjoyed numerous things together including being in the Corvette Club,
attending church activities and running their Shaklee business. They lived in Arvada, Colorado
and moved to Broomfield, Colorado in 1978. They were blessed with 47 years of marriage and
3 children: Nikki, Eric and Kimberly.

Deanna worked for Husky Oil Company as a secretary for many years. She then worked as a
kitchen manager and cashier at Broomfield Heights Middle School for almost 30 years. She
was also a Shaklee Supervisor.

Her Christian faith showed through her many church activities that included Explorers, Ladies
Aid, teaching Vacation Bible School, and working in the church nursery. She was a lifelong
member of her church. She was baptised on January 4,1948 and confirmed her faith on April
15, 1962 at First German Congregational Church. She enjoyed helping out in the church with
various events and activities and serving our Lord. It was her faith that carried her through the
difficult times with her cancer. She had 3 things that she loved and held dearly: faith, family,
and friends.

Deanna enjoyed gardening. You would always see her out in her garden working or watering
her flowers. She also enjoyed traveling and family vacations, camping, cooking and baking, and
watching the Broncos and Rockies, but her greatest love was her six grandchildren. She
enjoyed spending time with them and doing things for them. She was very proud of her family
and being a Grandma brought her tremendous joy.

Deanna is survived by her husband, Ernest Deines Jr. of Broomfied, Daughter Nikki Uthmann
(Chad) of Laporte, Son Eric Deines (Shauna) of Broomfield, Daughter Kimberly Warren
(Benjamin) of Casper, WY, Sister Vicki Foster (Carl) of Yuma and 6 grandchildren: Andrew
Deines, Aubrey Deines, Tyler Uthmann, Jace Uthmann, Cody Warren, and Molly Warren. She
is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Mollye Wollert and several grandbabies.
A celebration of life will be held on January 30th, 2021 at 10:00am at Fellowship Covenant
Church in Arvada, Colorado. Interment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheatridge, Colorado.
