MARCH 3, 1960 – APRIL 2, 2024

Diana Lea Miga, age 64, of Fort Collins, Colorado, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

Diana was truly a treasure. With every fiber of her being, she was kind, caring, and generous with her heart. Those who knew her will dearly miss her vibrant spirit.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Diana at Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 1:00pm. Family and friends will gather to fill the room with love as Diana so often did for others. In lieu of flowers, donations to Pathways Hospice or All Aboard Animal Rescue are encouraged.

Diana’s journey began in the small town of Victoria, Illinois on March 3, 1960 and her formative years were spent in various cities across western Illinois. As a young adult she joined the US Air Force and was stationed in Germany. Following her service, she returned to the states and welcomed two beautiful children into the world. Jamie and Jesse were Diana’s everything.

In December of 1989, Diana and her kids moved to Colorado where she met the love of her life, Brian Miga. They were married in August of 1994 and together they created a life filled with love, family, friends, great music and endless laughter. They enjoyed nearly 25 years together until Brian’s passing in January 2018. Diana also adored being a grandma and an aunt and was excellent at both.

Diana was happiest when surrounded by those she loved. She could often be found hosting gatherings at her home and was known for creating a warm environment that was filled with laughter. Diana made people feel like they were important to her because they were. She never knew a stranger - everyone was family. Her unmistakable laugh will live forever in the hearts of those who loved her. Music always held a special significance in Diana’s life. She wouldn’t miss a good concert and was always the first one on the dance floor-even if there wasn’t one! She also held a deep appreciation for nature and found peace in the mountains.

Diana’s legacy of love and laughter will carry on in the lives of her children, Jamie Schelling (Bogdan Besfamylnyy) and Jesse Schelling; and her grandchildren, Jakob Schelling and Linden Besfamylnyy. Also surviving are her siblings, Dave Harpman (Leanna), Larry Harpman, and Mindy Pheiffer; her nieces, Angeline Mather (Alex), Abby Harpman, Kylie Harpman (Hallie Crappell), Crystal West (Eric Chalupa), nephew, Troy Harpman; great nephew, Thedrick Harpman; dearest friends, Rex & Leslie Lampshire, Roger & Debbie Wedderburn, and Steve & Suzanne Steinbicker; and her beloved fur-baby, Maggie Mae. She was greeted in Heaven by her husband, Brian Miga, and her father, Louie Harpman.
