Don M, Mayse, 95, of Fort Collins, CO, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2023 at Pathways Hospice in Fort Collins, Colorado.

He was born May 21, 1927 in Sandy Hook, KY to Millard and Norma (Barker) Mayse. Don grew up in Sandy Hook and Elliottville, KY as the son of a farmer until he moved to Ypsilanti, MI to work at Ford Motor Company. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War as a combat infantryman with the 3rd Division. He returned to work at Ford Motor Company following his military service. He married Edna Eldridge in 1955 at her family home in Sandy Hook, KY. Don transferred to the Ford Motor Company plant in Sandusky, Ohio. Don was an injection mold die technician when he retired in 1982 after 35 years with Ford. Don, Edna and their sons lived in homes that Don had built in Castalia and Bellevue, Ohio. He enjoyed being surrounded by family & friends, cookouts, playing golf, fishing, camping, driving his RV, working on classic cars and a good campfire. Don is survived by Edna Mayse, his wife of 67 years. He is also survived by his sons, Mark, and wife, Cherie (Roseville, CA), and son, Gregory and his wife, Lisa (Fort Collins, CO); grandson, Erik; three great-granddaughters, Mia, Simone and Fiona; and several nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Nora Mayse; brothers, Lowell and Millard Jr.; and sisters, Eliza, Ina, Delma and Ada.

Funeral Visitation will be Thursday May 18, 2023 at 9:00 am, with funeral service to follow at 10:00 am at Resthaven Funeral Home and Memory Gardens, Fort Collins.
